PolarFire Soc Video Kit Reference Design

Changes since last release

  • Re-generate the MSS configuration file with the v2023.1MSS configurator

New Features:

  • Customize color of On-Screen Display (Text Overlay)
  • IAP(auto update): added support on mpfs-video-kit (not supported on icicle-kit-es). Additional information can be found in the Auto Update documentation

  • meta-polarfire-soc-yocto-bsp tag 2023.06
  • Libero SoC v2023.1

Pre-built programming files

The MPFS_VIDEO_KIT_BASE_DESIGN_2023_06.zip release asset file contains a FlashPro Express programming file including both this Libero FPGA design and Hart Software Services 0.99.36(v2023.06).
This programming file can be used to program an Video Kit's FPGA and eNVM without having to run through the Libero FPGA flow or building the HSS.
MPFS_VIDEO_KIT_AUTO_UPDATE_2023_06.zip contains:

  • MPFS_VIDEO_KIT_SPI_GOLDEN_IMAGE_2023_06.job: file used to program the golden image to the SPI flash
  • MPFS_VIDEO_KIT_BASE_DESIGN_2023_06.spi : The base design bitstream with a .spi file extension
