LoggerControllerDb is an attempt to measure the relevant parameters of a domestic Solar Hot Water installation to test ROI while exploring methods to maximise efficiency. A closed water circuit transferred captured solar energy to a storage cylinder from flat plate collectors on a south facing pitched roof. The Detailed temperature data was gathered from 2014 to 2017. A bypass feature was introduced in 2017 to improve energy capture at marginal levels. The test system was built using panels and other hardware imported from China and uses a RaspberryPi+extenders to control all aspects of the system and log data at 30 second intervals. The LoggerControllerDb program was written using Java, it logs data to a MySql database and provides access to the database via an HTTP portal. Please see www.greenandblueplanet.com (/Results).
