Download the DeusEx.u file

Then copy the DeusEx.u file into your Deus Ex\System\ folder, which is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex\System (make a backup of the original DeusEx.u).

Download Lay D Denton version 1.1 or newer from here

Install Lay D Denton by copying all the files into your Deus Ex folder.

Download Deus Ex Randomizers's DeusEx.u file

Then copy Deus Ex Randomizers's DeusEx.u file into your Deus Ex\System\ folder, which is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex\System. This will overwrite the DeusEx.u file from Lay D Denton.

For GMDX v10

Make sure to use the DeusEx.u file from the original game for co-op.

First download and install HX-0.9.89.4.zip from https://builds.hx.hanfling.de/testing/

Then copy HXRandomizer.u and HXRandomizer.int into the System directory of the game.

HXRandomizer is in early alpha testing and does not support all of the features that the single player vanilla randomizer has.

June 22nd was Deus Ex's 22nd anniversary, and our 2nd anniversary! To celebrate, we made a new trailer!

Changes

  • Restored cut content from the game where you can find the disgruntled VersaLife employee's body hidden in the canals
  • You can now left click usable items to immediately use them without needing inventory space. Great for eating food or putting on armor!
  • If you have enabled the Online Features, your augmentations will be shown on the Twitter bot, like this
  • Jock's helicopter at the end of mission 2 now has a randomized location. Check "NSF Warehouse (Mission 2)" on the wiki!
  • Training mission fixes and improvements, try it out!
  • Fixed Gunther's killphrase for bingo
  • Even more bingo goals
  • Baby Karkians now count as Karkian kills for Bingo
  • The bingo board now asks for confirmation when requesting a new board
  • Increased the radius for the mission 2 Battery Park Ambrosia trigger
  • Increased the radius for finding the dead scientist in the Hong Kong canals
  • Fixed some more text being recognized as passwords that shouldn't have been, especially sentences with the word "security" in them
