Hello! I bumped into this article about adding an instant Jekyll search. I thought this would be a great idea for Hamilton.
If I recall correctly you don't want to use jQuery in the theme and I'm not familiar with that language so I don't know how to identify it. That post shows how to use JSON and JavaScript to create a search page, but I did see in the original creator's second post about his search feature that it also uses jQuery. So, I did some more searching and it seems like everything good uses JSON, JavaScript, and some other framework. This blog has a really nice search, but it uses the fuse.js library. Is that one doable?
I'm really curious to see what you'll come up with. As always, keep up the good work! I really like this theme and what you've done with it. I have finally started my own personal blog and I don't nee a search function yet, but it would still be useful. Bye for now!
