As you can see ,the application is open source, that means the the code of the application is available for others to read through and edit. If you still think it is unsafe feel free to surf through the code and see if there is any "unsafe" content is in it.
Seriously.. The code for the CLI ( contains almost all core logic needed for the app ) is literally only 150 lines of code.
