I have latest conky version installed. When i try run conky from terminal i get this message:
conky: Syntax error (/root/.config/conky/conky.conf:7: unexpected symbol near '<') while reading config file.
conky: Assuming it's in old syntax and attempting conversion.
conky: [string "..."]:139: attempt to index local 'settings' (a nil value)

I have this issue as well running with the newest conky from the aur repository. This runs with the conky you can download with pacman. It comes from the extras repository. You can remove the brackets and insert #s to get it to run with the newest conky. You might have to make other tweaks as well. I was going to do it with the newest conky but make packages are missing or out of sync so I am using the conky 1.11.4_pre compiled
