Pirate Ship balance #991
Comments
Do you have any special steps to reproduce this? Are you using a special weapon? |
Holy shit I didn't think about the weapon I was using. I just tried to recreate it in singleplayer and then with a different weapon on the server and it ended up being the sword I got from the bigger ships that spawn out at sea. Sorry for that! With that being said, I do think those bigger ships are way too busted for the modpack and should probably be removed. Aside from the sword, and entire double chest of food can be gathered along with uncontested 32-64 of every basic minecraft recourse including diamonds. These recourses are uncontested making the early struggle fade away completely. Appreciate the help and great work on the modpack, I legit won't play any other form of this game lol! Thanks. |
No worries and thank you for the feedback :) What I was thinking is to make the ships 2-3 times rarer, to balance them, rather than completely remove the content. What do you think? |
That could work, if by rarer they spawn as often as a end portal dungeon lol. There are other smaller ships that have mobs on them and feel more like a dungeon however those big ships have nothing. If you board one in the daytime it's just free loot, and a ton of it. If there would be a way to adjust their loot pools rather than making em rarer, I think that would be a better approach. |

Hello! I started up a server on my old computer for my friends and I to play on using this modpack recently and I have noticed that the mobs are dropping an extreme amount of items. I killed a Blaze and got around 19 rods and same thing happened when killing a cow. Obviously this isn't very balanced and was wondering how to fix it. We had a server hosted through nodecraft before and didn't have this problem so I'm wondering if it was a modpack change between then and now, or if it is a setting I need to change within the server files. Thanks
