Using uBlock in advanced mode instead the internal Adblock

Hey, I want to ask about your opinion/stance about disabling the integrated Adblock and using uBlock as advanced user (I am an advanced user option) - will such configuration be at least effective as the one with the internal the Adblock enabled (given the other cromite settings are same)?

everyone says ublock is better, but nowhere have I read a technical justification for it.

Sorry for the unclear question. I'm realizing that using an extension (uBlock) more or less weaken the security compared to the internal solution (ABP). I wanted to ask - did you experience (in case you used uBlock instead ABP) any benefits of using uBlock in terms ad blocking or any significant security flaws of using uBlock?

i don't have the expertise to answer you, i don't know, nor have i ever read, the code of ublock, I only know the adp one in cromite

in pure principle, in general any extension, being written in javascript, is less invasive from a security point of view, running within the javascript sandbox which is written to run insecure code, i.e. from a security point of view, an extension (again in principle) cannot introduce new security bug and if it does, it is the fault of the browser, not the extension, which should not be allowed to do so.

however, I would like to be clear that a security bug is not granting more power to websites via extensions, because that is already allowed by chromium.

Thanks for the reply. I will give a try of uBlock in advanced mode. I like to see web sites what connections are trying to perform so I can manually allow them (the connections).
