Got everything downloaded and got the containers running I think but that's as far as I can get. The bot won't join the steam party. Also I'm a complete noob at this stuff and I could use a little bit of help

Glad that you got it working.

Currently there is not any feature like that. BeepBoop is extensible with plugins, so anyone familiar with Javascript can extend BeepBoop's features. But I guess it's not your case.

I was thinking about adding something like that, but few way that it could be tackled. In simplest form, giving BeepBoop link to YT playlist and it would play all in the list. Another feature could be generic playlist where you could add links to play on the fly. I guess that you imagined that it would autoplay from YT recommended?

I was kinda hoping it would just continue auto play yea but I can try my mettle at making a JavaScript. I've never attempted stuff like this before so just getting it working was a major accomplishment for me. I'll hafta look up some tutorials on how to add plugins to this thing but thank you again for all your patience. Returning after 2 years to answer my questions was really awesome of ya.

Sorry to bother but for some reason after the last steam update i cant for the life of me get the bot to work anymore. it keeps throwing a syntax error.

Try the suggested npm install ytdl-core@latest command.
YouTube is constantly changing, so keeping ytdl package up to date is crucial for YouTube support.

If you look at the playUrl line there is this adress: https://example.com/text-to-speech?lang=en&key=xxxxxx&text=I%20really%20like%20cheese
I have put this line "ttsUrl": "https://example.com/text-to-speech?lang=en&key=xxxxxx&text=", into the config in the README.md as an example. There is no text to speech service at example.com. So remove it or replace it with working one.

Hello there terribly sorry to bother you again but it's sayin it has no supported sources when I send a song from YouTube. Is there something I did wrong? It starts up normally but once we send a song to it all it says is "element has no supported sources".

I tested it yesterday and it worked, but then I noticed that I was running on v2.1.3🤦, I updated to v2.1.4 and it's not working like you said. So try the previous version. I will have to check if Chromium used in v2.1.4 is the problem, which probably is.

Switched back and now it just says

I updated the ytdl but its still giving me that error

There is an issue with YouTube/ytdl that it cannot access the source files and gets 403 instead. I will need more time to look into it.

@MissionBox I just released new version that should fix it. Try it out. Don't forget to add --build parameter to rebuild the image.
