All scripts configured for ubuntu, tested on Ubuntu 11 and 13
1. Use ElasticCassandra to setup an elastic Cassandra cluster with scripts to add/remove cassandra nodes
This will install on the Cassadra SEED in bin a script which is executed by calling "decomission IP_OF_CASSANDRA_NODE_TO_DECOMISSION"
Will install a service for starting cassandra as "sudo service cassandra {start|stop}"
2. Use HAProxySetup to deploy a HAPRoxy http load balancer and commands for registering/deregistering IP:PORT pairs to the load balancer. The installed commands are in /bin/registerToHAProxy and /bin/deregisterToHAProxy.
3. Use DaaSWebClient to deploy a JAVA RESTful API for the Cassandra cluster. Configure the client to call /bin/registerToHAProxy and /bin/deregisterToHAProxy when starting-stopping the client service.
Will install a service for starting cassandra as "sudo service daas-service {start|stop}". If the service is called multiple times on the same machine, it will start new instances of the DaaSWebClient on different ports, and register them in the HAPRoxy by calling register/deregister commands. If the HAProxy is deployed on a separate machine than the client, configure the client to call the "registerToHAProxy" and "deregisterToHAProxy" through SSH to the HAProxy IP.
4. The WorkloadGeneration project contains 2 python scripts that act as a simple client for the DaaS: one recreates the Database tables to have a clean setup, and one issues a sinusoidal sequence of insert/delete row in a DaaS test table (configurable). Please configure the scripts to point to the HAProxy IP and PORT, and run them either with python ./scriptName or directly ./scriptName
