might be interesting for testing stuff at scale, especially when you can simply crank up the instances by increasing an integer.

This is really cool! Thanks for sharing. I hope it won't be too much effort to maintain it. There is quite a lot of code for an example. Also there are no tests for it so regressions might not be caught if nobody tests it manually.

It would be nice to at some point reduce the code in the example. The master server stuff could be moved into the library directly. Or maybe into a new repository if we decide that http masters are not part of the core protocol.
