Since about summer this year, perhaps it was to do with the July firmware patch, windows cannot wake from sleep. It gets stuck in a perpetual loop of trying to modeset the display and it just blinks on and off over and over again

If I unplug the power during this cycling, sometimes the mouse pointer shows
