We are keeping accord. It parses the options to stylus.

Happy to help out with integration with accord if you guys need 😀

It's hard to learn and work together with people on open source with an attitude like this 😕

There are no better minds than someone who wants to make things happen. I wrote and maintain accord, and am happy to work with you guys on making sure that stylus source maps work with it -- this is what I was offering originally.

As a big fan of both Accord and gulp-stylus, +1 for @Jenius I'm sure he will do a good job

The mystery of the disappearing contributor 🔦 👤 🚬 👞

Ah, a new development in the case! I received this mysterious email in my inbox today:

Sorry again. My code wasn’t up to scratch, I thought closing my own pull request would be the appropriate thing to do. Obviously I’m not the most tactful person, and as I’ve learnt the hard way, I’m not too familiar with the etiquette of a pull request either. Again, I’m genuinely sorry.

Was that the same dude? Did I cause him to commit githubicide? 😢

LOL I can confirm it was the same person. I had left a tab open with the original conversation. "{redacted}" was the username.

lol Githubicide for a rejected pull request is a bit extreme. Or did you hack his account in revenge? 👻 hehe

Hahah man I have been doing open source for a long time but I must admit this is the first time that an offer to help out with something has caused someone to delete their entire account. There should be a badge or something for this.

Sorry I had a meltdown on your repo, I was just trying to help. Maybe I'm having a bad week, or in my case probably a bad year. To be accused of hindering open source by a peer isn't the best, especially when you're questioning your own ability as a developer. I just wanted to apologise and leave. Instead my personal email and name is placed on Github to forever be mocked. You don't know how this is affecting my mental health. I thought developers stood out as a noble community to be a part of. I was mistaken.

In no way were anyone here accusing you. We genuinely appreciate contributions, all of us at one point were questioning our abilities.
I have made some rather horrific PRs and commits, felt terrible, but learned from it.

I do hope your mental status will improve. Your email address was not included in the comment.

Why don't you recreate your account and we will put this behind us. :)
We are sorry for any injuries we may have caused.

Obviously there was a misunderstanding. Really don't worry about it. Internet chat is especially prone to misunderstandings as no body language or tone goes attached to the messages, and people understand this. As far as developer abilities are concerned, there are a lot of people (like me) that would love to have gulp-sourcemaps support in their stylus, and wouldn't even know where to start to do it themselves. If you managed to do some work in that direction to even attempt a pull request, even if it was not perfect enough for a merge, you're already way ahead of a lot of people. Everyone is entitled to have bad moments and still deserve the respect in the community.

But you have to admit the "Githubicide" badge was funny... :) could even be a cool addition to Github. Would be great if you reopen your account, we could delete this thread, move on and forget it. Just keep the badge I like it :)
