I tried commiting for a beginner issue but there were linting errors showing I hadn't downloaded "/@stdlib/_tools/lint/filenames/bin/cli" this one. I tried debugging in many ways but same results. Also make commands worked perfectly so there is no error.

I wanted some clarification on the implementation of single precision routines in math/base/special. Some implementations (like sqrtf) use float64ToFloat32 along with the double precision implementation, while others (like asinf) have a proper single precision-specific implementation. When implementing new single precision routines, how should one decide which approach to use?

stdlib-js/stdlib#5754

needed some very minor advice on this PR

  • capitalisation etc in JSDoc
  • whether to keep the tests as they are or split them into various fixtures as JSON
  • is the current documentation appropriate
