As you might have guessed, judging from where you are reading this from, you are **probably** aware that I have a personal home server. I run various services, including this blog-website and many others. Although it's super cool that I can host my own services, I will have to be on the lookout for potential dangers, such as possible exploits, DDOS attacks, vulnerabilities, things like XSS, remote access and flawed network security practices; there's just so much to keep in mind.

I learned a lot by reviewing the state of my own server in this way and am proud to say that my research has paid off for me.
