Cannot upgrade-k8s

I just updated talos to 0.14.2 on all 3 nodes in my cluster. The upgrade appeared to work and my workloads are running again after the upgrade.

I now want to upgrade Kubernetes but the upgrade-k8s command fails.

talosctl -n 192.168.86.244 upgrade-k8s --from "1.21.0" --to "1.21.1"

error checking self-hosted status: error fetching bootstrapStatus resource: 1 error occurred:
	* 192.168.86.244: rpc error: code = NotFound desc = resource "BootstrapStatuses.v1alpha1.talos.dev" is not registered

I don't know where to start with this. Can anyone help?

What does talosctl version return?

I guess your talosctl is really out of date, it checks for a resource which isn't present in modern versions of Talos.

It's always a good idea run up to date talosctl.

Just download updated talosctl from the releases page, and you should be good to go!
