How to build on various platfoms:

RedHat: 
	EL3-WS (confirmed)
	1) install and build jasper
	2) ./configure
	3) make
	4) make install

	7.3 (confirmed)
	0) install autoconf atleast v2.57
	   install automake atleast v1.6.3
	1) install and build jasper
	2) ./configure
	3) make
	4) make install

Mandrake:
	10 (confirmed)
	# Base automake/autoconf tools can not properly install smileys. so use
	# -i option to install everything. 
	# Smileys will not be install.
	0) Install autoconf 2.59
	   Install automake 1.7
	   Install libltdl3-devel
	   Install libgtk+2.0-devel
	1) install and build jasper
	2) ./configure
	3) make
	4) make -i install

	9.2 (confirmed) (automake-1.4, autconf-2.13, libtool-1.4)
	# Base automake/autoconf tools can not properly install smileys. so use
	# -i option to install everything. 
	# Smileys will not be install.
