Public ontologies repository contains versioned ontologies used in Data Browser for TCGA GRCH38, TCGA and CCLE datasets. For detailed information of ontology contents, structure and how to use them, please consult following documenation.
TCGA GRCH38 ontologies are named as cancer-... ontologies. Each ontology folder contains version folders, and each version folder constains only one data.rdf file containing specified ontology. Version folder is in format YEAR.MONTH.PATCH, meaning 2017.4.1 is first patch of 2017.4.0 release which occured in April of 2017.
