First principles, like scientific laws are important, but they may or may not help with "generating" products. Could even hinder the process.

They do help with solving problems to an extent, but "want/dream/new" products/ideas need a lot more than just "first principles" - they need imagination. There's nothing to validate against.

nextL - imagination is important. Strong first principles don't guarantee better generative ability (in the limit)
