Users have reported issues with watching streaming content on Firefox in 2025.1 and 2025.2 images. This issue was diagnosed and resolved in #41. We are providing a minimal hotfix, but you may also run the command directly.

To apply this hotfix, run:

rhino-hotfix ffstream

Or, directly:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install --reinstall libsnappy1v5 -y
  • You can also run rhino-hotfix and select it from the list of available hotfixes.

We will leave this hotfix issue active until our next disk image release, where we have already resolved it in our builder.

Important

We recommend users get into the habit of running the command rhino-hotfix to query for available hotfixes distributed by the Rhino Linux team every so often. You can also join our Discord Community to get notified about active hotfixes.
