My LDK has a brightness button that no longer works properly. It doesn’t click when pressed, and the lightest touch and/or a strong enough shake of the unit will register as a button press and change the brightness. I recognize that this is an uncommon problem, but I would like the option to disable the button as an alternative to replacing the button or buying a new unit.
A similar feature already exists in the kernel to swap the A and B buttons by running echo 1 > /proc/jz/alt, intended for the RS07. If something like this is done for the brightness button, it would be easy to disable the brightness feature by adding the command to do so to autoexec.sh.
