Summary

This proposal seeks retroactive funding for the research and development efforts conducted towards creating a decentralized content pipeline for RaidGuild. The work involved a comprehensive analysis of the guild's content creation challenges, engaging with guild members to identify pain points, developing strategies to streamline content production, and exploring innovative solutions—including the potential development of a white-label content pipeline tool. The goal was to empower members to contribute content more freely while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The full report can be viewed here.

Why should we build this? Why was this built?

Addressing the disorganization and inefficiencies in RaidGuild's content creation process is crucial for effectively communicating the guild's vision, activities, and offerings. By developing a streamlined content pipeline, we can:

  • Empower Members: Enable guild members to produce high-quality content with reduced friction and clearer guidance.
  • Maintain Quality and Alignment: Ensure content efforts align with the guild's strategic goals through centralized knowledge resources.
  • Innovate and Lead: Explore the development of a white-label content pipeline tool, positioning RaidGuild as a leader in DAO-oriented knowledge management solutions, potentially generating revenue and benefiting the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
  • Enhance Efficiency: Introduce roles and tools that reduce bottlenecks and optimize the content creation workflow.

Anything else you'd like to add?

I recognize that I am diverging from the normal SOP by requesting retroactive funding. I opted to bypass the usual proactive funding procedure, as it was not clear what kind of value would be generated through these efforts at the outset. Based on the results and insights gained, I am requesting a humble amount that is not proportionate to the time and attention applied but serves as symbolic compensation for surfacing many long-standing friction points within the guild.

I hope this proposal incites discussion among members regarding the process and appropriate payment. I will accept whatever the guild decides.
