Beef & Broccoli
Tools:
- 1 knife
- 1 wok or large skillet
- 2 medium mixing bowls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 pounds boneless tender beef steak, rib eye, sirloin, flank, or round.
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 0.25 cups soysauce
- 1-3 clove garlic minced (depends on size of clove)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. black pepper
- 1.5 pound broccoli, trimmed
- 2 teaspoon red pepper powder
- 4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- 2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. ginger powder
- 1 crushed beef bouillon
- 1 cup beef broth

Begin cooking 1 cup rice with 2 cups water in rice cooker.

Cut beef across grain into thin slices.

Combine in medium bowl and let stand 10 minutes.

Remove flowerets from broccoli and peel stalks; cut into bite-size pieces.

Combine in medium bowl.
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 Tbsp. soysauce
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. ginger powder
- 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- 1 Tbsp. black pepper
- 2 teaspoon red pepper powder
- 1 crushed beef bouillon
- Heat wok or large skillet to medium high heat
- 1 Tbsp. oil; Add beef and stir-fry 5 minute
- 2 Tbsp. oil; Add broccoli and stir-fry 5 minutes.
- Add soy sauce mixture; cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in 2 Tbsp. rice vinegar.
- Plate rice when done cooking/steaming and serve beef broccoli over rice.
