Gulp 3x uses an old version of vinyl-fs, which uses an old version of minimatch. Gulp does not plan to upgrade because all their efforts are in releasing gulp 4.

This module will not be able to be updated until gulp 4 is released - which means it should just start using gulp 4 now.
