Following accounts on a separate instance from yours is a multi step process and can be slow.

However, it's easy when you open that account on your own instance, e.g. if logged in to mastodon.social, https://mastodon.social/@ekuber@hachyderm.io is easier than opening hachyderm.io/@eKuber and following from there.

There is a bulk import feature, however when using Debirdify I found myself wanting to check individual accounts to see how active they were. Ideally, those links are on my own instance, so i can quickly follow if i need. Could be a simple text box i set at the top to change all the links

Thanks for making this, it was very useful! And I appreciate making it easy to log out and revoke permissions.

I was already thinking about a similar thing, namely providing a "follow" button next to every name that directs you to a page of your own instance where you can easily follow that person. But there will probably soon be an update where you can connect Debirdify to your Mastodon account so that we can show a "one-click follow" button next to every account found, using the Mastodon API.

But the thing you're suggesting might additionally be reasonable. I will consider it.

Hi! Could we have the simpler before the better?

A text field for "My instance (optional)" and a little explanation could make a huge difference.

I came here on the intention of submit a PR, but I'm not a python dev.

Thank you so much for so useful tool! Thank you!

Fun fact: Neither am I!

It's a reasonable feature to request – I'll try to see what I can do…

Just below "twitter username", we could have "mastodon username (optional)". Over the time, other things could come.

I'm sorry for being such a Python coward.

Is this still worth keeping open in light of f280e91?
