Lua Language Server Addon

with the devolopment of premake manager and having added the lua language server i noticed that all the premake lua functions where obviously not recognised.

after some diggin and a stackoverflow question and response from @Jarod42 i think it won't be a bad idea to create an addon for said premake syntax.

now the question is as follows? is there any recommended style that is probably best to follow for the function annotations, and should i try to auto generate the annotation file or not? If auto generation is feasable ofcoarse.

I wonder if the script for the doc can be adapted to generate that definition file.

i was thinking the same thing, gonna have to look in to that more and do some digging.

that way we can maby integrate it with a release and add it with the release assets that way you can download it manually or third party tools/extnsions can download them

LLS supports third party addons this way we don't have to go through the LLS-addon repo

I don't see way to have format "scope" indentation :-(
A thing that Premake's scripts use to look pretty (even if not-enforced/ignored by Lua itself)
i.e

solution "MySolution"
  configurations {"Debug", "Release"}
  project "MyProject"
    files { "SomeFile.cpp" }
    filter { "configuration:Debug" }
      defines { "DEBUG" }
    filter { "configuration:Release" }
      defines { "NDEBUG" }
    filter {}

in that case we would probably have to create our own language server
