"in the "Peering" section, the tutorial shows a screenshot of the resource visualizer showing the hub and spoke vnets connected; when I go to the resource visualizer in my portal I also see my network security group connected--is this a change in the resource visualiser since the screenshot was taken, or a potential indicator I might have something wrong?"

its weird {user} because the connection only shows from the vnet's "Resource Visualizer"
Not from the rg's one

"ok, that looks the same as what I have but the screenshot in the doc is also of the vnet, not the rg, and only shows the two. when I look at the rg, I see the hub vnet and the hub nsg, but not any spoke resources. anyway, I think it's just the visualizer showing unexpected things, and not me having anything wrong..."
