FATAL ERROR LOCKED OUT OF SYSTEM #695

The thing is without any log, stacktrace or information of any kind, we now have no clue what caused this, why, how often it could happen to users, and thus cannot prevent this from potentially happening again to someone else. We can do educated guesses, but there are so much moving parts in modern OSes Both Mate and elementary OS rely on Ubuntu for security updates. Aside from a few patches and the DE on top of it, the deeper stuff is Ubuntu and managed by Canonical. elementary Inc is a company, and partners with other companies - But it is much smaller than Canonical, depends on Canonical whims with the base, and Mate is basically dinosaur tech while the stack of eOS went a lot of deep changes recently and is undergoing a lot of bugfixing. It would at the very least be appreciated to get reports and kindness not angry blog posts. We do want to do a stable system, and we spend a lot of time doing that. And trust me i get it, being irritated when something does not work for you. Im not mad you turn to Ubuntu Mate - But im mad that what we spend so much time working on, for most of us as unpaid contributors, gets a "its just looks" :( |

It is a very nice OS and I LOVE IT. I was not angry, I am just telling you I had an error. If I knew C, C#, and C++ I would be a contributor to the OS because it is GREAT. You have done great things for linux and open source. I didn't know where to respond or how. I just wanted to let you know that I am curious about what happened. I couldn't fix, and I need my computer for school, and my coding, so It was inconvenient. I am not mad at all, I just a little disappointed how it was not as stable as I thought. |

I do not know how to fix it. I do not know where to leave a review so here it is:
