I am interested in contributing to the project you are developing.

We are glad that you found our repository. We would be very happy to accept your help.
Most of the complexity in this project is the algorithms so your skillset sounds perfect.
I would suggest that you drop a quick email at gregor@osmodelling.com, so that we can see how we can best support you if you decide to contribute.

If you prefer other channels (than email), we have some of those as well. Feel free to suggest what works best for you.
