Last version 1 release

This is to take a snapshot of the last version 1 release before moving on to version 2.

added site_info function

The site_info function has been added and various other functions have had code improved.

Added collection_list function

@mwtoews added the collection_list function and I've made some code improvements.

removed requests as dependency

@mwtoews removed requests as a dependency because of connection errors. He also rewrote parts of the build_url function to be less messy with strings.

cleaned up docs

@mwtoews cleaned up some of the docs referencing old info that no longer applies. He also made some slight modifications to string expression conversions.

updated for Python 3.9
