Hello,

Have you planned to migrate these modules to 12.0 or 13.0 (when it's available)?

Kind Regards

I am actually working on it!
https://github.com/MathBenTech/scrummer/tree/migration_12.0

First, I used this script to migrate files to Odoo 12.0 standard.
https://github.com/grap/odoo-module-migrator

I commented the broken xml to be able to install the module scrummer, in the following commit :
MathBenTech@e90b5b2

Actually, the page scrummer (/scrummer/web) does not load, and the javascript asset is not loading.

Could not get content for /web/static/src/js/views/kanban/kanban_quick_create.js defined in bundle 'scrummer.backend_assets'.

Hi guys,

Unfortunately we don't have any plans to migrate Scrummer to version 12.0 or 13.0.
However we are waiting to see what's gonna happen with odoo/owl and depending on it we are thinking to go for complete Scrummer rewrite using owl framework.

Meanwhile any effort to migrate this and related modules is much appreciated :)

Kind Regards,
Petar

I like the idea to rewrite the Scrummer with owl framework!

I progress with the migration! It works!
https://github.com/MathBenTech/scrummer/tree/migration_12.0

I need feedbacks.
Thanks for you support.

I finalized the migration of Scrummer to version 12.0

Enjoy the usage :-)

@mathben maybe you can do a PR so the migration can be merged into original repo?

I've also seen that there is a migration to v12 in other fork, maybe the forces can be joint https://github.com/afbenevides/scrummer/tree/12.0-mig-scrummer ?

Hi @tmotyl , I cannot do a PR, because the branch 12.0 doesn't exist on repo modoolar/scrummer. Github don't let me create a new branch on modoolar.

About afbenevides, he didn't finish the migration, he only executes script odoo-module-migrator and push the commits.

If you have some difficulty with the version 12.0, you can create issue to https://github.com/MathBenTech/scrummer/issues

That would be great @pnajman-modoolar !
Thank you @mathben for the migrated version! We will test it and give feedback.
We are evaluating now at Macopedia.com whether we can migrate away from jira to odoo, and this module sounds promising. And as we have Odoo devs on board we can fix/extend stuff and contribute back to the community.
One of the biggest concerns right now is regarding the community - whether there are at last few companies willing to join efforts in maintaining the scrum solution for odoo.

Almost forgot to mention, it's not enough to migrate only Scrummer.
Dependency repositories should be migrated to 12 or 13 as well.

Scrummer depends to Project-agile.
When I begin, I didn't find Project-agile, but I found it from Idealisconsulting https://github.com/Idealisconsulting/scrummer.
Maybe we can move it in OCA https://github.com/OCA/project-agile/tree/12.0

In the oca_dependencies.txt file within this repository we can see that this repository depends on the following repositories:

modoolar-project-agile https://github.com/modoolar/project-agile
modoolar-project https://github.com/modoolar/project
modoolar-web https://github.com/modoolar/web

Modules from this repository and modules from the mentioned repositories above were initially given to OCA, but back them, and that's around 3 year ago, they couldn't properly respond to our case, so after a couple of months of being stuck there and after close consultations with couple of highly ranked OCA members we were suggested that it would be better to retrieve and open repositories here under our account.

So, unfortunately, at the moment there are no plans to go into adventure with OCA regarding Scrummer, but of course, everyone are more than welcome to contribute here :)

I copied Javascript library from Odoo 11.0 to the version 12.0
We can do the same with Odoo 13.0 and support dependancy.

I don't plan to do it for now...

But, I believe it will be better to use odoo/owl in Odoo 15.0, check reference, like pnajman-modoolar wrote.

Any further activities here? Is modoolar still existing? I would appreciate continuing the great work. I also think instead of a migration to 13, better to go directly to 14 with the new owl framework.
