Set up GitHub for the Bangkok Backgammon Rating List

The Bangkok Backgammon Rating List is a public repository and everybody on the web can view it.

However, with a personal account on GitHub, you can report matches and view the Rating or Match List in the GitHub app in an easy-to-read format (at least better than the web version).

This guide will walk you through setting up your GitHub (owned by Microsoft) account and getting registered as a collaborator for the Bangkok Backgammon Rating List. The first steps in starting with GitHub are to create a FREE account, verify your email, install the GitHub app.

1. Create a GitHub Account

To sign up for an account, navigate to GitHub and follow the prompts.

2. Verify your Email Address

To ensure you can use all the features on GitHub, verify your email address after signing up for a new account. For more information, see Verifying your email address.

3. Become a Collaborator

To be able to report matches, your GitHub username has to be added to the collaborators of the Bangkok Backgammon Rating List repository. Just send your GitHub username to Modi.

4. Set up GitHub Mobile

To install the GitHub mobile app on:

• Android: Download the GitHub app from the Google Play Store

• iOS: Download the GitHub app from the App Store (not possible to report matches due to iOS GitHub app limitations)

• Register with your GitHub username and password.

• Add the Bangkok Backgammon Rating List repository to your favorites.
