inkblot and archimedes won't show latest on my webcomic homepage

Hi, I have an in dev site here:

I'm just getting started setting this up.
I had a Headway theme and a page set up as static home page with Webcomic Homepage settings applied. I have "Show latest" webcomic chosen.

I tried Inkblot and I think it was working right... maybe I didn't notice...

Then I tried Archimedes and set all this stuff again, and now the home page only shows the first webcomic, not the latest. I reverted to Inkblot and it is the same. It seems perhaps everything was fine until I used the Customizer interface... Currently set back to archimedes.

I have tried going in and changing webcomic settings in customizer, saving, then resetting them to my desired settings and saving again, hoping to sort of reset it.

Can you tell what is wrong?
