How to reproduce?

1. Open PanWriter
2. Press File -> Export to Clipboard
3. Select Markdown (md)
4. Press Export
5. Enjoy the error message

Possible reasons

The version of pandoc that is installed on my system does not support the short call of the markdown format.
The format must be written in an unabbreviated form.

Right

pandoc -f html -t markdown https://pandoc.org/MANUAL.html

Wrong

pandoc -f html -t md https://pandoc.org/MANUAL.html
