This repository contains the solution developed for running the model proposed by Antunes et al (2008) for locating solid waste facilities using discrete location analysis in central Portugal (https://doi.org/10.1057/palgrave.jors.2602422) and the model modifications proposed for the Topics in Applied Operational Research project.
Requirements:
- Python (3.5 or greater)
- Jupyter Notebook
- Pyomo
- FICO Xpress (or internet connection for calling the NEOS server as an alternate option, though a minor code change is required)
