I created a game called Test_Sceleria_04 this morning after starting the script. I then proceeded to play several turns (I'm now starting turn 8). The autosave however has no playable nation attached to it and therefore won't let me load:
The folder appears to only contain a mid_sceleria.2h file that dates from the very start of the game. It looks like it hasn't been updated while I played (although the script is still running). The same file is newer in the save directory.
Here's the script output (each minute, removed the other games - not relevant for the current issue):

Checking games for updates
Test_Sceleria_04 has pending changes: mid_sceleria.2h
This might have been caused by the launch of the script before the game was created, I'll try to "fail to reproduce" by starting a new game and then launching the script.
