IP number resets to incorrect value after WSL running for a day or so #5

The instructions for setting up WSL in bridged mode work perfectly for me. Thanks! Ubuntu starts, and gets a fixed IP via DHCP from the router and everything is good. But I find that after ubuntu has been running a day or so, the IP number has been somehow changed to the IP number for the host (win11 pro) OS. Using systemctl to restart network services doesn't reset the IP number. I suppose I might be able force a fixed IP number but I like controlling it through the router.

Any idea about what might be going wrong or how to debug it?

Thanks

Phil
