All roms using stvbios (http://www.progettoemma.net/index.php?&gioco=stvbios) hang the armhf build of retroarch with mame2014 core = leaves retroarch inactive with a white frame on load.
no error message in the retroarch console, romsets load properly. the core works great with other roms non stvbios-related.

those roms load fine with mame2003 though (same issue with mame_libretro.so, mame2016_libretro.so and mame2010_libretro.so)

seems to be the same issue reported there : https://forums.libretro.com/t/mame-stvbios-games/6137

cf libretro/mame2016-libretro#14

@grgohr Are you able of building this core manually for armhf? They were last updated over a year ago and it would be really good to update them before investigating if this is still an issue. I do not have the hardware so I can't test this...

See this issue. #63

@orbea I actually test the nightly builds from here https://answers.launchpad.net/~libretro/+archive/ubuntu/testing/+packages?field.name_filter=mame2014 the Zesty and Trusty ones usually works well on armhf (odroid xu4 in my case)

@orbea for more details, juste tested with the build from the last commit libretro-mame2014 (0.159-r201712250833-4aadfdf-10~ubuntu17.04.1) zesty, and it segfaults :
