why web services for http queries https ?

Hi team, i noticed that when add a webservice for example to monitor home assistance on http://192.168.1.100:8123/ the logs on home assistance show it receive queries on https://192.168.1.100:8123/ (and home assistance throw an error). Is this a normal behaviour for this type of monitor?

Normally, it is up to the web server whether it redirects a request to https.
