[compat] partially breaks with Peek

Bug description
When Peek is also installed, opening a shulker box block causes future attempts to open any shulker box item from your inventory to fail.

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. have at least two shulker box items
2. place one shulker box
3. open the placed shulker box block
4. close the placed shulker box block
5. open your player's inventory
6. look away from the placed shulker box block
7. right click on a remaining shulker box item
8. observe that the inventory that opens is not the inventory of the shulker item that was right clicked

In fact the opened inventory is empty, and placing items in it doesn't result in items entering either the placed shulker box block or the shulker box item. Also the placed shulker box block physically opens (the lid rotates and moves up).

Expected behavior
The shulker box item should open when right clicked.
