The granularity is not enforced, nor necessarily agreed upon. Correct bases (vectors or otherwise) should suffice for the establishment of a closure, bound set, or similar utilities.
Maintaining semantic types gets prioritized only for versioning, otherwise a proper lexer can be linked to provide you with the comforts of state management.
flex --stdinint
is your best friend if pipe-sock-file-descriptors get confusing.

Normalize your floating points (vectors or otherwise) and stuff should work fine.
