Redirects are being ignored

My .s3-website.json has this value:

   "routes": [
      {
         "Redirect": {
            "example/path/index.html": "new/path/",
          }
      }]

When I run s3-website deploy the config file is used, as evidenced by correctly uploading most of the content. However, it seems to be ignoring these redirect configurations entirely.

I'm happy to contribute, but curious to check first if I'm just doing something wrong.
