Boards should not be left powered up indefinitely.
Ideally when 'releasing' the lock of a board, it could also be powered off - but doing this automatically will require a 'keep alive' ping to be sent from users in the event that they are using a board, but not directly calling any fram commands.
They could be using a board through ssh or serial console for instance longer than the default lock time out.
How can we identify if a board is still in use and active, and decide when to power it off if the user has finished (or forgotten about it)
