After installing nethunter I used the bash login fix to launch the system and when I tried to install upgrades, vnc, and/or desktop environment I got Error: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg revceived a segmentation fault.

Any help with this is much appreciated.

That likely means you have a different architecture from the system.

I am assuming no configurations at all with this guide, because a few settings could cause unexpected results.

Just a fresh termux installation, with no changes, maybe package updates.

Make sure;

  • you install nethunter that matches your architecture
  • in termux only please! (only tested on android)
  • latest termux version (read the install guide)
  • not to tweak your architecture in some way, using any programs.
  • not in a chroot environment i.e termux-chroot

basically recommend

  • backing up all termux data
  • exeute termux-reset
  • and then try installing in a clean termux setup again.

If issue persists, I strongly recommend installing the minimal/nano versions beacuse the full version has many bloatware, that may cause issues, besides no one uses half the tools, at least not in a chroot

If all fails, the re-install with --log option, and paste the entire log here. i.e

bash ./install-nethunter.sh --log

then

clear
cat ./install-nethunter.log

then long click and select copy, or menu -> share transcript.

need to know whats happening if i am to help you.
