Installing Libraries

cabal install --lib <package>

for instance: cabal install --lib arithmoi-0.10.0.0

tlmgr is a package manager for LaTeX

  • sudo tlmgr update --self
  • sudo tlmgr install adjustbox
  • sudo tlmgr install collectbox
  • sudo tlmgr install ucs
  • sudo tlmgr install enumitem
  • sudo tlmgr install collection-fontsrecommended

cabal for profiling

  1. cabal init
  2. edit <package-name>.cabal executables to include ghc options and build dependencies
executable <package-name>

create cabal.project.local enabling profiling: cabal configure --enable-library-profiling --enable-executable-profiling --enable-tests --enable-benchmarks

which creates a file with:

tests: True
benchmarks: True

cabal build cabal install --only-dependencies cabal run <package-name>
