** 1.2.0 ** (2024-09-25)
- Support PHP 8.3
** 1.1.0 ** (2024-02-05)
- Support symfony/console, symfony/config and symfony/yaml at ^7.0. Not advertising support for intermediate versions at this point as we'd really need then to run a matrix build with every symfony series and it will be much simpler to bump past unless required.
** 1.0.1 ** (2023-07-27)
- Upgrade to symfony console v5.4
** 1.0.0 ** (2022-10-24)
- Add a
SqlDumpImporter
utility class to have a migration load in statements from a standard SQL dump file. - Remove support for 'wrapping' database adapters, and the
TimedOutputAdapter
. The timed adapter was the only remaining implementation of this proxy pattern, and was only actually printing statistics forinsert()
operations. This was not that useful, and the overhead (e.g. on identifying dead code / improving type safety / adding to adapters in future) of the proxy pattern was quite high relative to the benefit. You can, of course, implement and register your own adapter class as a proxy if you need it.
1.0.0 BETA (2022-10-21)
- First release of the phinx-lightweight forked library
- Removed support for all database platforms/drivers other than MySQL over PDO
- Removed support for rolling back migrations or setting breakpoints
- Removed support for the automagic "reversible" migrations through the
change()
method - Removed the entire table / column / index modelling layer - migrations should issue direct SQL commands
- Removed support for seeding the database with test data - use a standalone seeding library if required
- Removed support for automagically applying a global prefix / suffix to names of tables that migrations are operating on.
- Removed a number of database manipulation helper methods - express your changes in SQL
- Removed support for some unusual / edge-case uses of the
->insert()
method in migrations - Removed support for the
--dry-run
mode : this didn't consistently skip all queries so gave a false sense of security - Support PHP 8.0, 8.1 and 8.2 and drop support for older versions
- Added hard typehints to most database adapter and migration helper methods e.g. fetchRow / query for better end-user autocompletion. Note that these now tie to PDO objects/interfaces in many cases.
fetchAll
andfetchRow
now always return query results as associative arrays, not PDO::FETCH_BOTH which was the old default.- Added
->prepareAndExecute
method for migrations to simplify using prepared statements.
