DOME survey

The DOME website (dome.ices.dk) is set for an upgrade to newer technologies and improved functionality for its community, which includes data providers, data users, the Regional Sea Convention Secretariat, and national coordinators. The current technology is outdated, and some features are no longer in use.

To ensure the website meets the community’s needs, a user survey will be conducted. This survey will address themes such as data uploading, information retrieval, data search and download refinement, download format usability, and data submission status overviews.

Submission overviews, currently under ‘Data Tools’ on the ICES webpage, will be moved to the DOME website in 2025. The survey aims to gather insights on website usage and functionality gaps to inform the upgrade process.

The upgrade will start in 2025 with some tasks (e.g., Azure authentication) and continue into 2026.
