Does TDK 20-bit data worth something?

latest TDK IMU support 20-bit data format. It has good resolution at full FSR of gyro and acc.

Pixhawk uses this format for 42 and 45 series IMU.

But it is well known that there is nothing for free

So does anyone know some info about 20 vs 16 bit?

The resolution is fine when adding the extra zeroes to the packet; you can get higher resolution of you don't do that.

Note the chip has 16-bit ADCs. You could put that 16-bit value in the middle of a 1024-bit field if wanted to - but why?

I don't think it's that bad, there are 19 bits of data there, I think. There may be problems only with noise.

The picture is quite strange. FSR at the last stage implies a full resolution of 23 bits at all previous stages in order to get the maximum resolution at the output. In this case why only 19 is allowed to user.
