Async completion seems to mess with the sort / order

I have the following sources configured:

cmp.setup({
  sources = {
    {name = 'luasnip', priority = 1 },
    {name = 'nvim_lsp', priority = 2 },
    {name = 'buffer', priority = 3, keyword_length = 3},
    {name = 'path', priority = 4},
  }
})

It seems that nvim_lsp kicks in a little later, when this happen the order just changes.

As you can see in the video below it starts with [luasnip] selected, but when [snippets] loads it gets selected AND the order is not respected anymore.

Is there a way to fix this? I'm trying to understand how the comparators work, but with no success
