PyMediaPlayer

Overview

PyMediaPlayer is a lightweight and user-friendly application for playing video and audio files. Designed with simplicity in mind, it is an open-source project licensed under the MIT License, ensuring flexibility for personal and professional use.

System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 7, 8, 10, or later.

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the PyMediaPlayer installer (PyMediaPlayer.exe).
  2. Double-click the installer to launch the setup wizard.
  3. Follow these steps in the wizard:
    • Accept the license agreement.
    • Select the installation directory (default: C:\Program Files\pymp).
    • Choose whether to install the K-Lite Codec Pack (recommended for advanced format support).
  4. Complete the installation process.

Usage

  1. Launch the application via the desktop shortcut or from the Start Menu.
  2. Open your media files by selecting them directly or dragging them into the application window.
  3. Enjoy seamless playback of your favorite videos and music.

Updating PyMediaPlayer

  1. Download the update installer (PyMediaPlayer_Update.exe).
  2. Run the update installer, which will detect the existing installation.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to update to the latest version.

Uninstallation Instructions

To remove PyMediaPlayer from your system:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program.
  2. Select PyMediaPlayer and click Uninstall.
  3. Alternatively, run Uninstall.exe from the installation directory:
    C:\Program Files\pymp
